Hello all! Welcome to CMP Photography's Blog! 🖤

I have neglected this portion of my work and doings for far too long! and I will be working at reviving this tool so I can further share my work, my business standings, and overall reach women everywhere with inspiration and beautiful artwork I create with everyday women! I am going to start this process by just doing an introductory post on myself, my work and why I do boudoir photography for a living! (I actually use this as my full-time income to help pay my bills!)📸

so, HELLO!👋🏻

my name is Carlie; I am a wife and mother of five children! (and yes, I'm crazy 😆🙃🤣) some fun facts about me before I dive into business stuff:

1. I cuss. A LOT. and no, I don't care what anybody thinks about it, 🤣 2. I love all things hippie/witchy.

3. I'm a book nerd, and though I do love me some steamy smut books, murder mysteries are my JAM. (I love Mary Higgins-Clark & Dean Koontz!)

4. I'm a literal coffee addict, but not to no Starbucks or Scooters 🤣, I love me my dark columbian roast brew with some Hazelnut creamer 🤤👌

5. in addition to my five 2 legged children, I also have 3 dogs and 8 chickens. (like I said, I'm crazy! 🤯🤣)

ALSO, I like emojis, clearly. 😂

I consider myself a 🖤luxury boudoir artist🖤 and professional hype girl!🥳

I started my journey into photography, LONG ago, when I didn't even own an expensive camera and actually deeply enjoyed the editing process and changing the way photos looked with simple (and advanced) adjustments within editing programs.

I got my first professional camera in 2018, first capturing my kids and family members and friends, and actually dove into business in 2020 when I got my LLC and set up all those (not so fun and frustrating) legal things to legitimately run my business for profit. 💰

I acquired my studio in December of 2020, and hit the ground running within my new space! and, I honestly haven't looked back since. 📈

I have learned so much along this journey and grown and advanced even more as a professional within my career - to say I am proud of my growth would be an understatement.

Though I do still capture and very much enjoy lifestyle sessions with families, couples and newborns, I have found my niche within the photography realm - and consider my expertise and specialty to lie within the ✨ Boudoir / Glam / Intimate Portrait ✨ photography.

From the very beginning of dipping my toes into boudoir photography, I KNEW what type of style and vibe I wanted my boudoir images to portray and represent.

I knew I wanted moody, bold images. I wanted my images to exude confidence and beauty for ALLLLL types of women that would walk through my studio door. I wanted my clients to be able to look into the mirror, look back at their images and 🎉KNOW ITS THE SAME PERSON!🎉 (So, in other words, I don’t photoshop or change any physical features of my clients. Ever.)

and I wanted to provide my clients with an absolutely UNFORGETTABLE, glamorous experience as well as an opportunity for me get to know my clients prior to their intimate and vulnerable experience with me.

and so was born: the luxury boudoir experience with Carlie Preister at CMP Lifestyle & Boudoir Photography! 🎉
